School Break Days

Things I did during my Spring Break were casual, for example, I made some friends, ate a little more than usual, watched my favorite shows and new ones, and I took advantage of time and slept a lot. Some of the places I went to was church, (but I do this even in my regular days), I also went to the beach with my family, and I went to go eat with some friends to the buffet. Since my sister has many friends as I do, I met one of her best friend and she was quiet shy and lovely. I got to know a part of her, and I loved it because I learned she likes bands just like I do. During break I watched some of my favorite shows which are Shameless, Grey's Anatomy, Animal Kingdom, Shades of Blue, and Barracuda. Some new ones I started watching were Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, The Magicians, and How To Get Away With Murder. Sometimes during my free time, I enjoy playing sports and during break my sister and I went to the park and played a little basketball which sore my body the next day. A CTR moment I experienced was from my dad. There was a moment during my break where a man got out of his control and starting hurting a man, however my father went up to them and separated them and tried to control and relax the man. The hurt man thought he was a savior but I think he just did the right thing. The favorite part of my break was how I spent most of my time watching some short films that made me cried and touched me very much. I also learned a lot from them and I love seeing different kinds because they inspire in different parts of me. Someday I would love to be a creator of a short film or maybe even a movie.

Abraham Lincoln shows us that being able to be successful is not wrong, but cheated our way through the path is what makes it bad. An example for this is when the test for a class is out, of course it would be wonderful to get a perfect score on it and be happy at the end, but if you cheat and at the end you would have only completed the test but maybe failed it. Lincoln also tells us that not only are we supposed to remind ourselves, but it's also nice to tell others how to become a winner without cheating. It is possible, anything's possible we just have to try hard. Another thing to keep in mind is that when we help others, it's good to make that companionship because you both help each other out when one falls, the other picks the fallen up. That is a great way to do things and be a great succeeded person, but don't forget that taking care of yourself is still very important.

Optometrist

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform vision tests and analyze results
• Diagnose sight problems, such as nearsightedness or farsightedness and eye diseases, such as glaucoma
• Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and medications
• Provide treatments such as vision therapy or low-vision rehabilitation
• Provide pre- and postoperative care to patients undergoing eye surgery—for example, examining a patient’s eyes the day after surgery
• Evaluate patients for the presence of diseases such as diabetes and refer patients to other healthcare providers as needed
• Promote eye health by counseling patients, including explaining how to clean and wear contact lenses

Salary: $103,900

Education Required: Doctoral or Professional Degree

Demand: Optometrists need a Doctor of Optometry degree, which requires the completion of a 4-year program at an accredited optometry school. In 2006, there were 16 colleges of optometry in the U.S. and 1 in Puerto Rico that offered programs accredited by the Accreditation Council on Optometric Education of the American Optometric Association

Reflection: Being an Optometrist is in my opinion, a job of people who like to learn about these things of science and the eyes. My type of work would be surgical and a little more complicated.

Character means your personality, the way you act around people, friends and family. Sometimes people have multiple characters in them. Some may change depending on the person they're with. This is not a good character person. This shows that they treat everyone differently and not equally. However, some may not even care about this because meanwhile, they are worrying about their intelligence or beauty. At the end, the people surrounding them might not even care about how they look or how smart they are but how they act towards them. If your character is not well built, then you might be a weak or irresponsible in the inside.

Tyler Haws has a natural gift of being a good basketball player. However, he knew he had to work hard to keep that gift, he didn't just sit there and ignore it, he knew how to appreciate it. Just like any of us, we might have special hidden talents or special gifts that we have but don't show or use them. Talents are to show everyone that you have something extra special and you need to embrace it. All it took Tyler was to work extra hard to get better at playing basketball. All we need to do is the same thing, whether it's singing, dancing, brightness, etc, we need to go for the extra and show everyone that you can do it. An example of an experience where my hard work payed off was when my time was almost coming where I had to sing at a place. I always thought I didn't have to practice because I knew I could get ready 5 minutes before the actual moment, but this time I tried to practice. I practice the songs for two weeks and in the actual day I felt better about singing them. I did't feel nervous and I knew I did a good job. That si why hard work pays off, not laziness.

Brigham Young shows us that only by doing what is right, is going to lead us to our independence and freedom. To some people freedom is being able to stand up for what they believe and be able to do what they like without anyone holding them back. Also, independence to some is being able to be successful in what they've worked for so hard. All is these sayings are correct, and the only thing left to do is to work towards it by being good, doing what's right and doing what 's necessary. Anyone can say or do anything to try to bring others down, but ignoring them and keeping your head up is the best and only way to go.

George Chapman tells us that only the people who are good are the ones who are great; if someone says they are great, but their heart is not good of good actions or deeds, then they are just selfish with a high self esteem. However, if someone does and shows good action and deeds to others, they are the greatest of all since their heart is actually pure without selfishness in it. If you want to become one of the great people you just have to try and become a better person. How? Well first off you need to let go of all of the ego in you. No one sees or cares what's on the outside but if they do, what really matters is what you have on the inside. After you've accomplished this, you have to make good acts to others. Give out what you don't need, give out what others need, and say what others need to hear. This way, you will be one of the greatest people everyone would like to hear about.
