Presidents Day

What is Presidents Day?
                           February is an important month — not just because it includes a holoda well-known Valentine’s Day, but because even though it was the shortest month of the year, it contained two holidays for which schools were closed: Lincoln’s Birthday (February 12) and Washington’s Birthday (February 22). Their birthday’s were soon brought together to celebrate in one day, and then called the special day, Presidents Day.


When Is Presidents Day?
                                 Presidents Day is on February 20 on a Monday.


What are several ways to show honor and respect on Presidents Day?
  • Take time and pray to wish the best to this world no matter with no matter what president we have
  • Getting together with family or friends and talking about the topic, ideas, or opinions about Presidents Day.


Interesting Facts about Presidents Day?
  • Some states also celebrate Abraham Lincoln's birthday at this time as well.
  • Washington's Birthday is a federal holiday in the United States, but even though George's birthday was February 22nd, the day is officially celebrated on the third Monday in February.
