Optometry Technician or Assistant
Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties of an optometrist assistant can be both administrative and clinical, although clinical duties may be limited by state licensing requirements. Optometrist assistants help optometrists by conducting diagnosis tests, recording and measuring vision, testing eye function, instructing patients in inserting and caring for contact lenses, preparing examination rooms, cleaning rooms, cleaning arranging equipment, answering  phones, making appointments, handling bookkeeping and other tasks as needed.
Salary: $22,260
Education:
High school diploma required, 1-2 year training programs available at vocational schools and community colleges.
Demand:
Should have strong organizational, interpersonal and communicational skills. They are often charged with multiple tasks in different areas at the same time, and, thus, they should also be good multitaskers.

Reflection: I believe that being an Optometrist Assistant is like not wanting to go big. I'd say I'd rather finish what I cam for which is to go for something more challenging and more fun for me. However, being an Optometrist Assistant is not even being an Optometrist which is not very good for me.
